The Napa County Teacher Induction Program offers an approved two-year Induction program as a pathway through which candidates can clear their credentials at a significantly lower cost than through college coursework. It’s free to public school teachers!
Those who participate in the induction program learn to expertly tailor their teaching to maximize learning opportunities and increase student achievement while earning a California Clear teaching credential. Simultaneously, the program also promotes teacher leadership and as a result, retains high-quality teachers in Napa County school districts.
Participating Teachers in the induction program receive the assistance of a highly experienced teacher/mentor (Support Provider) plus access to job-embedded professional development driven by an inquiry/action research-based project. A focus on pedagogy, equity for all students, and how to better work with English Learners and Special Populations students through a collaborative, reflective formative assessment system truly helps newer teachers develop more quickly as highly-skilled professionals in this dynamic world of education.
