NCTIP - LogoThe Napa County Teacher Induction Program offers an approved two-year Induction program as a pathway through which candidates can clear their credentials at a significantly lower cost than through college coursework.  It’s free to public school teachers!

Year 1 & 2: Participating Teacher 2016-17 Calendar

 

Teacher with group of kisThose who participate in the induction program learn to expertly tailor their teaching to maximize learning opportunities and increase student achievement while earning a California Clear teaching credential.  Simultaneously, the program also promotes teacher leadership and as a result, retains high-quality teachers in Napa County school districts.

 

Teacher with group of kids outsideParticipating Teachers in the induction program receive the assistance of a highly experienced teacher/mentor (Support Provider) plus access to job-embedded professional development driven by an inquiry/action research-based project.  A focus on pedagogy, equity for all students, and how to better work with English Learners and Special Populations students through a collaborative, reflective formative assessment system truly helps newer teachers develop more quickly as highly-skilled professionals in this dynamic world of education.
