The Trustees of the Napa County Board of Education provide leadership to support the success of public education. They collaborate with the Superintendent to govern the County Office. Their responsibilities include approving the office’s budget and acquisitions of real property, determining the salary of the County Superintendent of Schools, assuring appropriate educational environments and curricula for students, and serving as an appellate panel in areas such as denials of student inter-district transfers, expulsions, and denials of charter school petitions. They also serve as the County Committee on School District Reorganization with approval authority in respect to all proposed changes of school district boundaries.
Regular board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Conference Room of the Napa County Office of Education. Occasionally meetings are held at school sites around Napa County, so please call to verify time and location. 707.253.6810.
