Students interested in a career in animal care will get hands-on experience with scientific reinforcement in this course. The class provides a more in-depth classroom and laboratory experience in the advanced phases of Animal Science. The relationship between animal anatomy and physiology, nutrition, reproduction, genetics and health will be emphasized. Students will apply that knowledge to the well being of a variety of domestic livestock, large and small, at the Vintage Agriculture Lab. Students will also learn how the sciences relate to animal production and management.
