ROP Nurse Assistant Training
ROP NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING
5th and 6th Period Only
This course prepares students for the California Certified Nurse Assistant exam, as well as builds a strong foundation of basic nursing skills. Classroom instruction is combined with on-site training at local nursing home facilities. Students must complete 100 of clinical requirements per the state of California. Safe patient care, rehabilitation, condition charting and hospital training are all included in this course work.
Fees for materials and state-required fingerprinting are mandatory. Once you complete the ROP training you will apply for your Nurse Assistant Certification from the State of California. Prior to completing the class, a student may apply for a scholarship for the cost of the certification exam and/or continuing education. Earn ten life science credits or ten elective credits per year toward high school graduation.

Students must have completed 10th grade and be at least 16 years old.

Pass a comprehensive reading test.

Fingerprinted, physical exam and TB Test as mandated by the State of California.
