Legal Notice: Federal and state laws require public schools to provide free and appropriate education for children with disabilities. If you know of any youngster between birth and 21 years of age who may qualify for special education programs in the public schools, Contact your local district or the SELPA office. Specialists in education for the disabled will help parents identify appropriate programs, regardless of the type of disability.

The Napa County SELPA is the Special Education Local Plan Area serving Napa County. The SELPA office is located at the Napa County Office of Education, 2121 Imola Avenue, Napa.

SELPA's role is to ensure that the specialized education needs of each disabled student in the Calistoga, Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, Pope Valley and St. Helena Unified school districts are appropriately met.
