Napa County Office Education Prevention Programs support students, families, and community members overcome barriers leading to healthy, stable, safe lives and successful futures. Programs range from community collaborations to education programs impacting over 6,000 students. Preventions, Health & Wellness programs develop and support healthy behaviors through a variety of programs that address issues from gangs to tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs as well as programs that support the specific needs of under-served populations.
NCOE Community Programs works with school district and agency staff to track and serve students living in foster care placements for academic success.
The Gang Violence Education multi-component program is a partnership project through the Napa County District Attorney’s Office. NCOE is responsible for the educational component which focuses on the implementation of prevention and intervention services within the schools by utilizing gang experts to train students, school staff, and community members on the indicators of gang activity and appropriate responses.
Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) Community Programs works in collaboration with local school districts to ensure that homeless students are enrolled in and attend school, have opportunities to receive needed assistance and are given the opportunities to succeed in all areas of school life including academics, athletics, clubs and events.

UpValley Partnership for Youth is a Drug Free Communities Coalition that aims to use the collaborative strength of parents, youth, and community members to address and prevent problems relating to youth alcohol and marijuana use in UpValley communities.
Catalyst Prevention Coalition started as a Drug Free Communities coalition and has been working to reduce youth substance use and address and prevent problems relating to youth alcohol and substance use in Napa County for over 11 years. The Coalition recently received Stop Act funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to continue our youth alcohol use prevention efforts.
